Somatic Sharing Circle

Time converter at worldtimebuddy.com

The sense of real and intimate connection with others is sadly lacking in our modern world.

Though we may connect with others regularly, how deep are we really going? How much of us are we really sharing and how much of others are we really seeing?

It can be difficult to find those who are prepared to receive our deepest truths, fears or traumas in full presence, therefore we can be reluctant to share them. This process is a co-creation and because of that we can feel inhibition when we share. This may lead us to remain at the surface level of contemplation and expression of our true experience.

When we sit in spaces together, witnessing and being witnessed, we can discover the kind of healing and insight that has the power to transform our lives. Together we find this sort of transformation to be essential, not only on the spiritual path but to our survival as embodied humans in this fast moving world.

Holding space is a skill.

We must exercise and develop this skill through the practice of presence-ing and through willingness to be with what is, not just in others but in ourselves.

Together we explore the sense of what it means to be embodied through guided meditation, contemplation, and individual sharing.

Each circle will draw upon themes explored in Sunday’s embodiment practice and serve as the basis for us to share our musings on embodied experience. Participation in the movement session is not required to attend the circle but is encouraged. This week’s circle will explore themes of embodying boundaries and staying with the body when intensity arises, however anything that is present and alive in your embodied experience is always welcome.

Valuable spaces like these contribute to the deepening of our own experience by way of our own shares but also through the honest and vulnerable shares of others. How powerful and nourishing it is to hold space for what is real and alive in our comrades while also receiving that compassionate and welcoming space from them.

This circle is made possible by donation, whatever you feel inspired to give is greatly appreciated.
